History:
Originally, throughout the 1980's, the Florida State Championships were held at Rockledge Disc Golf Course, then moved to F. Burton Smith Park, Cocoa FL when the Rockledge Course was closed in 2007. When the State Championships eventually left Brevard County, The Aviles Disc Golf Championship was hosted by F. Burton Smith Disc Golf Course in Cocoa, Florida to replace this yearly event.
In 2011, DDGC decided to change the format to a Master's Division Only event; continuing to remain at the F. Burton Smith Course. In celebration of those who have forged and sacrificed for the sport of Disc Golf to thrive in East Central Florida, we are proud to invite players of all skill level who are over the age of 40 to play in this tournament.
